Core Responsibilities

Portfolio Oversight: Monitor diverse portfolios to ensure all trading aligns with legal standards, regulatory rules, and mandate limits.
Risk Control: Oversee exposure across market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risks.
Analytics & Tooling: Run performance attribution and risk analysis while upgrading internal risk models and analytical tools.
Pre-Deal Evaluation: Assess proposed projects, strategy launches, and new initiatives to provide objective, independent risk opinions.
System & Data Upgrades: Help build and refine risk management software, workflows, and data governance standards.
Group Alignment: Partner with head office risk leadership to roll out group-wide policies and ensure compliance across overseas operations.
Alerts & Incident Response: Maintain daily monitoring and escalation procedures for swift detection and resolution of risk triggers.
Executive Reporting: Deliver regular briefings to investment and risk committees regarding portfolio metrics, exposures, and incident updates.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, or a related field.
Background: 10+ years of risk management experience in asset management, with strong buy-side investment risk expertise.
Leadership: At least 2 years managing or mentoring team members.
Global Footprint: Proven track record working on-site outside mainland China.
Markets & Regulations: Deep familiarity with global multi-asset instruments (fixed income, FX, equities, derivatives) and HK regulatory frameworks (Singapore regulatory knowledge is a strong plus).
Technical Skills: Fluent in Bloomberg and advanced Excel/analytics tools; CFA or FRM preferred.
Languages: Fully bilingual in spoken and written English and Mandarin (Cantonese is helpful).
Mindset: Eager to drive international growth for an expanding China-centric asset manager.
