The Role

• We are seeking an experienced individual contributor to lead origination, evaluation, and execution of direct investment opportunities in Hard Tech.
• The mandate will focus on identifying and backing companies across semis, data center infrastructure, aerotech, industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, and adjacent enabling technologies.
• This is a senior, hands-on investment role covering the full deal lifecycle, from thematic sourcing and diligence through structuring, closing, and post-investment support.
• The successful candidate will serve as a key investment lead for the family office, working closely with principals and internal stakeholders to shape deployment strategy and portfolio construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop proprietary investment opportunities across Hard Tech through deep industry relationships, founder networks, advisors, and sector intermediaries.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through market mapping, commercial diligence, financial modeling, and strategic assessment.
• Lead deal execution, including valuation, structuring, negotiation, documentation, and coordination with legal, technical, and financial advisors.
• Support portfolio companies' post-investment with strategic guidance, governance input, and capital allocation discussions.
• Track and interpret trends across semiconductors, data centers, aerospace, and industrial automation to inform the investment thesis.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, operators, co-investors, advisors, and industry experts.
• Contribute to portfolio construction, capital deployment planning, and long-term value creation for the family office.

Your Profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, principal investing, or related investment roles.
• Strong exposure to Hard Tech sectors, ideally including semis, data infrastructure, aerospace, industrial technology, automation, or adjacent deep tech areas.
• Demonstrated ability to source and execute investments with a strong track record of judgment, discipline, and value creation.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage directly with founders, management teams, and technical experts.
• Native Mandarin proficiency and strong English are required.
• Based in Hong Kong preferred, with flexibility to travel across Greater China and Asia as needed.
