Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Director / Director - to join our Valuation Advisory Services practice inIndia (Location - Mumbai) . This is a senior client-facing role with direct responsibility for practicedevelopment, and technical delivery across a broad range of complex valuation mandates.The ideal candidate is a seasoned valuation professional with deep expertise in financial reportingvaluations, alternative investments, and structured instruments, with significant experience working inclient facing role. This role reports directly to the Practice Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Business Development
• Seamless delivery of engagement
• Drive origination of new mandates through existing networks and strategic targeting of Big4 referral channels, GP/LP relationships, transaction advisors, law firms
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, roundtables, and client events to elevate brandpresence and generate pipeline
• Contributes to thought leadership article / point of view on relevant topics
• Works with the practice leader to contribute to team hiring, training, and performancemanagement.RequirementTechnical Competence
• Experience in valuation of intangible assets and contingent consideration for purchase priceallocation
• impairment testing of goodwill and long-lived assets under Ind AS/US GAAP/IFRS
quarterly and annual portfolio company valuations for PE funds / VC under ASC 820 / IFRS13 and in accordance with IPEV Guidelines
• valuing direct lending portfolios, CLO tranches, distressed debt, mezzanine, and unitranchefacilities under Level 2 and Level 3 fair value hierarchy. Construct yield-based modelsincorporating credit risk, spread analysis, prepayment assumptions, and structuralsubordination
• 409A and other tax related valuation
• complex financial instruments including derivatives, convertible notes, SAFEs, warrants,preferred equity, ELOC, RSU, phantom stocks
Requirements
• Good understanding of relevant Ind AS, US GAAP and IFRS standards
• Experience of dealing with auditors and presenting results to senior management, Audit Committees, Boards
• Understanding of advanced valuation models like Binomial lattice, Monte CarloQualification and experience
• MBA / CFA Charterholder (US)
• 12+ years of progressive valuation and financial advisory experience
• Minimum 3 years at Director, Senior Manager, or equivalent level within a Big 4 Valuations group, boutiquevaluation firm, or investment bank advisory practice
• Cross-border engagement experience a plus
