Overview:-
A Dublin-based trading team is looking to hire a Quantitative Trader to operate in live prediction markets, primarily across sports. This position blends fast decision-making in active markets with responsibility for the models, data, and systems that drive trading outcomes. You’ll be expected to both execute and improve — shaping how strategies are built, deployed, and iterated.
What You’ll Do:-
- Execute trades in real time using internal signals, models, and market information.
- Build, refine, and manage pricing and execution frameworks across relevant markets.
- Work alongside researchers and engineers to improve model quality, expand data inputs, and optimise trading infrastructure.
- Analyse trading outcomes to understand performance drivers, model behaviour, and market response.
- Spot and act on structural inefficiencies in how markets price events, react to information, and manage liquidity.
- Enhance internal tools and processes to increase speed, reliability, and decision quality.
What They’re Looking For:-
- Strong academic background in a quantitative discipline (e.g. maths, stats, physics, computer science, economics).
- Deep interest in sport (football/soccer or golf in particular), with an understanding of both the game itself and how it is priced in markets.
- Solid Python skills, with experience working on data-heavy problems and building practical tooling.
- Exposure to live trading environments or similarly competitive, time-sensitive settings.
- Sharp probabilistic thinking and comfort making decisions under uncertainty.
- Ability to move between research and execution — not purely theoretical.
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end, from idea generation through to live deployment.
- Clear communicator, able to explain reasoning and challenge ideas constructively.
- Willingness to work hours aligned with key sporting events.
