A leading global consulting firm specialising in the insurance industry is seeking a Guidewire Delivery Head to lead its Guidewire division in Tokyo. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced IT consulting and systems integration professional with a strong track record delivering Guidewire transformation programmes.
You will take ownership of delivery across major Guidewire implementation, integration, modernisation and optimisation projects, working closely with both business and technology stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Guidewire transformation programmes, overseeing implementation, integration, modernisation and optimisation projects.
- Provide delivery leadership throughout the project lifecycle, managing scope, timelines, quality, risks, resources and client expectations.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate insurance business requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions and implementation strategies.
- Lead, mentor and develop delivery teams across functional, technical, integration and broader transformation workstreams.
- Drive client engagement and support business development, account growth and proposal activities, identifying new Guidewire opportunities within the insurance market.
- 10+ years of experience in consulting, systems integration, technology services or a related IT environment.
- Significant experience delivering complex Guidewire implementation and transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire platforms and insurance business processes.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology transformation or systems implementation programmes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience across complex consulting or technology engagements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience developing high-performing delivery teams.
- Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong delivery governance and project management capabilities.
- Ability to lead complex, multi-workstream programmes and align business and technology stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to contribute to account growth and business development.
- Japanese: Business level proficiency required.
- English: Business level proficiency required.
- Experience leading a Guidewire practice, division or delivery organisation.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance technology landscape and digital transformation trends.
- Experience across Guidewire implementation, integration, modernisation and optimisation.
- Experience developing client solutions, proposals and new business opportunities.
- Experience working with global consulting firms or multinational insurance organisations.
