SQL Data Engineer - Data Vault, Data Modelling - vacancy for our Luxembourg based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Develop and optimise complex SQL transformations to support analytics, reporting, and financial or regulatory requirements.


• Build and maintain SQL-centric ETL and ELT data pipelines, including batch, incremental, and near real-time flows.


• Work with existing enterprise data models, including Data Vault, dimensional, 3NF, and domain-driven structures.


• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, testing, and documentation to support governance and transparency.


• Use Python where beneficial for automation, API integration, and workflow efficiency.


• Support BI enablement by preparing SQL datasets and assisting with troubleshooting and performance improvements.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Hands-on experience with Data Vault 2.0, including design, implementation, and maintenance.


• Strong experience with dbt, including development, testing, documentation, and deployment of data transformation pipelines.


• Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, and optimisation.


• Experience working with enterprise data models such as dimensional modelling, SCDs, and 3NF architectures.


• Language skills: English
