Key Responsibilities

• Supports the Head of Accounting in the daily accounting activities for the Bank and its branches, including analytical accounting, in close coordination with senior accountants.
• Contributes to the design and implementation of a robust control environment for the Accounting department, enhancing the reliability of accounting and tax processes.
• Coordinates with branches' local accountants to resolve accounting, VAT and income tax matters, ensuring issues are addressed consistently across locations.
• Prepares monthly and annual VAT returns for the Bank and coordinates with the external VAT advisor, branches' local accountants and Group Tax to ensure consistent application of the VAT regime.
• Coordinates with Group Tax to prepare the annual transfer pricing documentation for the Bank and its branches, ensuring alignment with group transfer pricing policies.
• Supports the Head of Accounting in the production of the annual accounts of the Bank and its branches, contributing to the completeness and accuracy of statutory reporting.
• Coordinates with the external tax advisor to prepare the annual income tax return for the Bank, providing the required accounting and transactional information.
• Oversees the monthly reconciliation of branches' statutory accounts to IFRS accounts, identifying and resolving differences in collaboration with local accountants and senior accountants.
• Participates in automation and efficiency initiatives related to accounting processes, contributing subject-matter input to improve systems and workflows.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field, a Master's degree or professional qualification in accounting or taxation is an advantage.
• 4-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in accounting for banks and/or financial institutions is required to support IFRS and local statutory reporting.
• Experience with Luxembourg corporate tax, transfer pricing and VAT regime is required to support tax compliance and documentation.
