Description and Requirements

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing regional product review, pricing and valuation support in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE). T his is a business-facing role that partners closely with different countries to support product strategy / product pricing, strengthen pricing discipline, and drive company continuous improvement and value creation through actuarial insights and technical expertise.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Support COE Product / Pricing lead within the Actuarial function at KL COE
• Interface and collaborate with different teams internally and externally to understand and address the needs and issues related to product / pricing / actuarial matters for countries
• Develop / enhance / review countries' pricing models
• Ad-hoc project for Regional Product Review team to perform independent product review for Asia countries
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining documentation for product / pricing-related
• Lead process enhancements and model efficiencies using AI tools

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

• Fellow or Associate actuary, with 10+ years of actuarial experience
• IFRS17, USGAAP, VNB, Product / Pricing, Financial Reporting actuarial experience preferred
• Excellent Excel / VB / VBA skills
• Experience in actuarial system such as AXIS, Polysystems or Prophet is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs
• Respectful of deadlines, discipline, and process, yet flexible and pragmatic within a growing business
• Capable of working autonomously or with a team, and of balancing own initiative with advice from others
• Able to navigate through complex problems and organisations to achieve results and deliver solutions
