Job Description
- Responsible to drive and implement the Trade strategy, Trade product development, Trade Product management and own the full end to end process of for the entrusted trade financing product portfolio.
- To ensure that new Trade products are identified and developed, or existing products enhanced to meet business opportunities in order to grow Trade revenues consistent with the overall business strategy.
- To identify and translate market opportunities into new Trade products and services, or enhancements to existing products, in order to generate a strong and sustainable revenue stream. This will include the demonstration of a comprehensive business case for the product, defining product feature functionality, bottom-line impact and changes required to internal operations and service delivery.
- Manage product cost dynamics for managed products with the assistance of supporting units.
- To establish, implement and maintain competitive pricing structures to maximize product profitability and shareholder value. Provide bundling strategies where appropriate, to ensure product or solution profitability.
- Together with the Sales Team, plan new product launches to ensure that new products and services meet planned revenue and volumes projections. Develop strategies to gain market share and grow liabilities through new products targeted at acquiring operating accounts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (eg Sales, Risk, Ops, Tech, Legal, Compliance) as well as regional counterparts to deliver solutions.
- Champion process improvements and digitisation initiatives to enhance turnaround time and client experience
- A related degree or certification in Finance, Banking or Commerce.
- Minimum 6-10 years of related experience in Trade Finance, with exposure to Trade Product Management and/or Trade Operations with strong commercial understanding of the business.
- Broad knowledge and strong understanding of trade products, market practices, and regulatory environment
- Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Must be able to articulate himself/herself well against various levels of target audience.
- Independent, adaptable, and willing to take on diverse and transformational assignments
