IT. Junior Developer

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer with experience in Python, JavaScript, Oracle Database, AWS Cloud based solutions, and SOAP/Restful Web Services. Responsibilities will primarily include new functionality releases, development of enhancements, and contribution to system releases and third-level support as required. The position will be based in our Manila, MNL2 office. This position reports to the Interface Solutions IT Technical Lead. Interface Solutions IT is a global team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications. The candidate will interact closely with Citco Architects and business analysts, as well as QA Team and other technical groups and resources within CFS.

Job Duties in Brief:

• Develop new applications that serve existing software systems

• Further develop current software

• Development in multiple modules and architectures, according to development best practices and current development technologies

• Contribution to automated build process

• Systems documentation and knowledgebase management for support efficiencies

• Design and conduct tests

• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

• Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

About You:

• Vast experience with Python

• Proficient in JavaScript (React, Node.js)

• Good understanding of css and layout based frameworks.

• Experience in designing and developing web-based java applications to support business requirements and projects

• Good knowledge on SQL and PL/SQL.

• Experience with test-driven development

• Proficient with APIs and service oriented architectures

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines

• Can resolve technical issues through debugging, research and investigation

• Comfortable with code reviews

• A team player who is effective working independently and collaboratively

• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, Unit testing and SOAP/RESTful Services

• Familiarity with build tools such as Ant and Maven

• Must be self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in architecting and implementing cloud-based applications

• Experience developing micro services with Spring Boot.

• Good knowledge in Queue based applications

• Financial industry Experience

• Experience developing automated tests using Selenium with JavaScript

• Experience and familiarity on developing with AWS and its services (cloudformation, pipelines, git, bamboo, EC2, ECS S3 and RDS)
