Role Summary
Q Investment Partners is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead its sales and capital formation activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for raising capital across institutional, family office, private wealth and intermediary channels, with a particular focus on Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East. The role will also involve developing long-term investor relationships, shaping fundraising strategy and supporting the growth of the firm’s investment platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the firm’s fundraising and investor coverage strategy.
- Lead end-to-end capital raising across funds, separate accounts, joint ventures and co-investments.
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, private banks, wealth managers and high-net-worth investors.
- Personally originate and close significant capital commitments.
- Lead investor presentations, roadshows, due diligence meetings and commercial negotiations.
- Develop clear and compelling fund narratives, pitch materials and investor communications.
- Coordinate fund formation, documentation, legal closing and capital call processes with internal and external advisers.
- Negotiate fund terms, side letters, fees, governance rights and co-investment arrangements.
- Provide investor feedback and market intelligence to senior management and the investment team.
- Leverage investor and industry relationships to identify potential transactions and strategic partnerships.
- Lead, mentor and develop the sales and investor relations team.
- Establish disciplined fundraising pipelines, reporting processes and performance targets.
- At least 10 years’ experience in real estate, private equity, private markets, capital formation or investor relations.
- Proven track record of raising capital across multiple funds or investment strategies.
- Strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, private wealth platforms and financial intermediaries.
- Established investor access across Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, fundraising processes, investor due diligence and commercial negotiations.
- Experience negotiating fund terms, side letters, co-investment rights and fee structures.
- Exposure to acquisitions, investments or asset management would be advantageous.
- Experience in real estate or real assets is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with residential and operational real estate sectors, including student accommodation, co-living, multifamily or other “beds” strategies, would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the United Kingdom, Japan and Asia-Pacific investment markets would be advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Highly driven, credible and entrepreneurial, with the ability to represent the firm at senior investor level.
- Capital raised against agreed targets and timelines.
- Growth and diversification of the investor base.
- Conversion of investor relationships into commitments.
- Repeat capital from existing investors.
- Development of bespoke mandates, co-investments and strategic partnerships.
- Accuracy and discipline of fundraising pipeline management.
- Retention and development of the capital formation team.
