The role



The role focuses on catastrophe ("Cat") portfolio modeling and exposure reporting for management, regulators, and rating agencies, as well as pricing support for property Cat business.



Your tasks and responsibilities will be as follows:

• Contribute to Cat portfolio modeling and roll-up processes


• Produce group Cat exposure reports for the risk team and management


• Lead Cat-related rating agency and regulatory reporting worldwide, including Solvency II, Hong Kong RBC, Bermuda Monetary Authority reporting, and other requirements


• Price property Cat business during peak renewal periods


• Support Cat portfolio steering and portfolio management to achieve an optimal risk-return profile

Your profile



You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field, and bring the following relevant experience and background:

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience in the (re)insurance industry


• Strong knowledge of R and/or Python


• Knowledge of non-life pricing or Cat modeling is an advantage


• Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented


• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to work independently and perform effectively under time pressure
