A leading financial group is seeking an experienced CCO to oversee our regional compliance framework. In this pivotal position, you will act as the primary compliance advisor across our diverse business lines—including Wealth Management, Trust, HNW Insurance and External Asset Management (EAM)—covering key jurisdictions across Asia-Pacific.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Governance & MLRO: Serve as the appointed Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Singapore under MAS regulations. Lead regulatory liaison and engagement across Singapore (MAS), Hong Kong (HKIA), and other regional regulators.
- Framework & Policy Oversight: Lead, harmonize, and refine compliance policies, controls, and risk management frameworks across multiple business lines and global jurisdictions.
- Financial Crime Prevention: Drive robust AML/CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) protocols. Lead investigations and reporting for high-risk onboarding and suspicious transactions.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to Group Management, offering pragmatic, risk-based advice on new products, cross-border initiatives, and commercial growth.
- Monitoring & Incident Management: Execute risk-based compliance monitoring, conduct annual reviews, investigate breaches, and implement corrective action plans.
- Data Privacy & Culture: Advise on regional data protection (PDPA, PDPO, GDPR), lead compliance training initiatives, and foster a strong culture of integrity across the Group.
🎯 What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive compliance experience within financial institutions (insurance industry background strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of Singapore (MAS) regulatory frameworks, with broader regional exposure being a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Compliance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record in regulatory engagement, financial crime prevention, and strategic risk management. Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
