A high-growth financial technology business is seeking an experienced finance leader to take ownership of its finance function and support the organisation through its next phase of growth. This is a broad and highly visible leadership role combining financial governance, commercial finance, treasury, finance transformation, and strategic business partnering, with significant exposure to senior leadership and institutional stakeholders.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the end-to-end finance function across multiple entities, overseeing financial reporting, statutory accounts, consolidation, audit, taxation, and financial governance.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership on corporate strategy, financial modelling, business planning, and key commercial initiatives, providing rigorous financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead Board and senior stakeholder reporting, preparing high-quality management reports, financial updates, and presentation materials while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- Lead corporate finance and fundraising activities, supporting capital raising, transaction execution, due diligence, financial modelling, data room preparation, and engagement with investors and strategic stakeholders.
- Drive cost management, cash runway analysis, forecasting, and unit economics to strengthen commercial discipline and provide greater visibility over business performance and growth priorities.
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable finance systems and processes, including accounting system implementation, integration with business platforms, automation, and improvements to financial reporting infrastructure.
- Oversee treasury activities including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity management, and foreign exchange exposure across the organisation.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team, providing leadership across controllership, FP&A, and finance operations while establishing appropriate processes, controls, and accountability.
- Support strategic transactions, fundraising, due diligence, and other corporate initiatives while strengthening the finance function to support the organisation's continued regional expansion.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Approximately 12–15 years of post-qualification finance experience, ideally with a strong foundation in Big 4 and subsequent experience within financial services, fintech, payments, or other regulated environment.
- Proven track record of leading an end-to-end finance function, including financial close, statutory reporting, audit, taxation, consolidation, and financial governance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong experience in Board and institutional stakeholder reporting, with the confidence and credibility to engage senior executives, investors, directors, and sophisticated financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience building or transforming finance functions, including finance systems implementation, process improvement, controls enhancement, and establishing scalable reporting infrastructure.
- Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with experience in financial modelling, cash runway management, unit economics, treasury, and strategic decision support within a high-growth environment.
- • Exposure to fundraising, corporate finance transactions, due diligence, digital assets, blockchain, distributed ledger technology, or payments will be advantageous.
