Job Title: New Business Risk Analyst

Team: Risk & Compliance

Location: Singapore

Role

Kennedys is looking for a proactive and detail-focused New Business Risk Analyst to join our global New Business Risk team.

In this role, you will support the Firm's new business intake processes and provide information, guidance and practical support in relation to professional responsibility, conflicts of interest, compliance and the commercial considerations associated with accepting new business. You will work across a global platform while also supporting Risk & Compliance matters in Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.

As a new headcount, this varied and exciting role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your risk and compliance expertise within a growing international law firm with a diverse global practice.

Team

Kennedys' Risk & Compliance team operates as an in-house legal function, supporting the Firm with regulatory, professional conduct and compliance matters. Within this function, the New Business Risk team specialises in supporting the Firm's global new business intake processes.

You will work closely with colleagues across the global Risk & Compliance function, as well as stakeholders in Finance, HR, Facilities and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation of Intapp within the Risk & Compliance Department
  • Support the delivery of an effective and responsive new business risk process across the Firm
  • Conduct research using internal and external information sources
  • Undertake an initial review of conflict search results, identify potential issues and prepare conflict-of-interest reports for Legal Counsel, the General Counsel and requesting lawyers
  • Review conflicts and assist with opening new matters using Intapp and Elite 3E
  • Review new matters for compliance with relevant Anti-Money Laundering requirements
  • Provide practical advice and assistance to internal stakeholders on conflicts of interest and compliance matters
  • Recognise when an issue should be escalated to Legal Counsel, the General Counsel or the Head of New Business Risk
  • Support the General Counsel, APAC with the maintenance and management of the Risk & Compliance framework across the region, including global risk policies, compliance processes, training and reporting
  • Collaborate with teams across the Firm on cross-functional matters
  • Maintain a high standard of service for the Firm's internal clients and contribute to the continued development of the function's professional reputation

About You
  • You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working with detailed and confidential information in a fast-paced global environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Confidence providing timely guidance within a busy international organisation
  • The ability to develop positive and professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound judgement and the ability to maintain trust and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365

Previous experience using Intapp or Elite 3E within a professional services environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided. Exposure to Anti-Money Laundering requirements would also be beneficial, although training will be available.

A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred. We also welcome applicants with an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

This is a developing role and the job description is not exhaustive and may vary in line with changes in the team's objectives and the Firm's policy.

CLOSING DATE: 31 st August 2026
