This Privacy Support Specialist role focuses on handling user privacy inquiries for the South Korean market, ensuring compliance with local data protection laws. The position serves as the main point of contact for users in Korea, primarily managing inbound calls, capturing request details accurately, and routing cases to the appropriate internal teams for resolution.
Based on site in Singapore, the role supports a global privacy operations team while working closely with stakeholders across regions. Responsibilities include triaging inquiries, maintaining accurate records, managing tickets, following compliance procedures, and contributing to reporting and audit support.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound privacy-related calls from South Korea in Korean, ensuring clear and professional communication
- Accurately record user details, requests, and relevant account information
- Categorise and assess inquiries (e.g., privacy requests, account issues) and route them to the appropriate teams within set timelines
- Complete and submit standardised intake forms through internal systems
- Maintain precise records of all interactions and manage tickets alongside call handling
- Follow established procedures for data protection, including escalating unresolved cases
- Support compliance activities such as training, audits, and regulatory requirements
- Track and report on inquiry volumes, trends, and escalation patterns
- Assist with reporting of data incidents when required
- Manage a monthly volume of ~150-200 inquiries, focusing on accurate intake, routing, and follow-up rather than full resolution
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in Korean is required to serve and communicate with the Korean-speaking users based in Korea
- 1-3 years' experience in customer support, operations, privacy, compliance, or related administrative roles.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of inquiries with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with standard office software and the ability to learn internal tools quickly.
