My client is a prominent banking group renowned for its innovation, global reach and comprehensive financial services. This major financial institution, founded in the 1960s, offers a wide range of services including retail, corporate, Islamic, investment, and digital banking, serving millions of customers across multiple countries.

Your new role

Your new role is a revenue generator and is responsible for client coverage for Wholesale Banking clients and tasked to deliver the local budget. The client focus will be on companies from the Greater China region , especially where these companies are engaged in trade and/or FDI in the five core markets. This will involve engaging these clients at their HQ and Group treasury centres in HK & Singapore.

You are expected to manage all aspects of the client relationship from prospecting, onboarding (including KYC and financial crime risk aspects), credit analysis & risk management, account planning, building multi-product & multi-country relationships and ensuring effective client servicing. It's important to understand the overall strategy for the branch and develop relationships aligned to the strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

• 
  Bachelor's Degree from a Reputable University
  
• 
  15+ years of Corporate Banking experience with knowledge of Trade Finance, Treasury, DCM etc.
  
• 
  Greater Chinese coverage experience
  
• 
  Ability to speak Business Mandarin to liaise with internal and external Chinese clients
  
• 
  Credit skills and marketing track record
  
• 
  ESG experience
  
• 
  Credit analysis, legal documentation settlement, credit administration
  
• 
  Marketing & budget planning, communication
