Role Overview
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and scaling low-latency trading infrastructure that supports high-frequency and algorithmic trading strategies. The engineer will work closely with traders and quants to implement reliable, scalable systems that execute seamlessly across on-chain and traditional financial markets. Success in this role involves ensuring operational stability, optimising system performance, and contributing to the development of architecture to handle increasing trading volumes.
Key Skills & Experience
- Build low-latency, high-throughput trading systems to support algorithmic trading strategies
- Maintain robust connectivity with exchanges and protocols for transaction processing
- Develop core components for trade execution, order management, and real-time data handling
- Optimise system performance through profiling, tuning, and architectural improvements
- Collaborate with traders and engineers to translate trading ideas into scalable systems
- Ensure operational stability in latency-sensitive trading environments
- Strong understanding of traditional finance, architecture, and trading systems
- 5+ years of experience in low-latency system development for algorithmic trading
- Proficiency in low-level programming languages such as Rust or C++
- Experience with exchange/broker APIs, order management, pricing, risk engines, and smart order routers
- Skilled in system performance tuning, monitoring, and debugging
- Self-starter with proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
Nice to Have
- Experience in FIN GM HFT / Market Making
- Development expertise in C++ for financial trading systems
- Knowledge of blockchain, crypto, or decentralised finance technology
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-latency, high-throughput trading systems supporting various strategies
- Build and maintain reliable connectivity with trading exchanges and protocols
- Develop core system components for trade execution, order management, and live market data
- Profile, tune, and improve system performance to achieve ultra-fast execution
- Work closely with traders and quants to translate trading ideas into scalable solutions
- Contribute to flexible system architecture design to accommodate growth and evolving market opportunities
- Maintain operational stability and system uptime in a high-velocity, low-latency environment
Requirements
- Right to work in Singapore
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining low-latency trading systems
- Proven track record in developing high-performance infrastructure for algorithmic trading
- Strong proficiency in Rust or C++
- Experience with exchange / broker APIs, order management systems, and market protocols
- Based in Singapore, willing to work on-site with hybrid arrangements
- Immediate availability preferred, with a start date of 08/09/2026
