A leading tier-one global investment bank is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead its Financial & Regulatory Reporting Change agenda across the Asia-Pacific region. Operating at the intersection of Finance, Risk, and Technology, this high-visibility role drives strategic transformation across regulatory reporting, financial accounting, capital management, and core systems architecture. The ideal candidate will act as a pivotal bridge between business stakeholders and IT, shaping the region’s target operating model, driving process efficiency, and ensuring full alignment with evolving international regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on change leadership position, you will own the regional change book of work across regulatory compliance, financial control, and capital analytics. You will oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, from conducting initial business analysis to formulating and deploying advanced technology solutions that automate reporting and strengthen the control environment. A major focus of the role involves championing regulatory change initiatives linked to Basel III and Basel IV standards, ensuring robust reporting capability across local and regional entities. Managing budgets, designing scalable data flows, presenting strategic updates to executive committees, and acting as a key partner to regional finance leaders all fall within your remit.
Requirements & Expertise
Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within global banking, financial institutions, or top-tier financial services consulting. A deep, functional understanding of regional regulatory frameworks and international capital requirements—specifically MAS and regional Asia-Pacific reporting alongside Basel III standards—is essential. You must demonstrate proven expertise in financial transformation, system architecture, and data management, with a track record of implementing complex projects under tight deadlines. Comprehensive knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS is required, paired with the ability to translate intricate technical details into clear strategic proposals for senior executives. A recognized professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
