cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in London. They are seeking a Credit Analyst to work with them on a permanent basis. Credit analysis of a high standard of various proposals submitted to the department (across segments- Corporate, Commercial Real Estate and Financial Institutions)
Responsibilities:
- Analyse and vet credit applications, including detailed financial analysis and recommendations.
- Manage Financial Institution (FI) credit limits, reviews, research and bank ratings.
- Manage Global Country Limits, reviews, monitoring and country ratings.
- Prepare and analyse portfolio MIS/credit reports and investigate variances.
- Analyse watchlist accounts, ensuring approvals and account strategies are in place.
- Provide other credit reports and departmental support as required.
The candidate:
- Financial degree or related discipline.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in a financial institution.
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent Excel, plus strong Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills; financial modelling is desirable.
- Good knowledge of banking/securities products and cross-border risk.
- Awareness of financial markets, industries and macroeconomic/political developments.
