We are confidentially supporting a healthcare organisation in the search for an Interim Divisional General Manager for Urgent Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery and performance of Urgent Care services across the organisation, while also serving as Hospital Manager for an urgent, specialist, and critical care site. This role will provide direct support to the Divisional Director.
Key functions of the Interim Divisional General Manager for Urgent Care include operational leadership and performance delivery, service strategy development and implementation, organisational development, and effective risk management across Urgent Care services.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance improvement across Urgent Care services, working closely with local authorities and system partners to support timely patient discharge, improve patient flow, and deliver key operational targets
- Ensure the hospital and Division of Urgent Care provide high-quality, patient-centred care
- Ensure the site plays a proactive and influential role in delivering the organisation's strategic and operational objectives
- Lead the management of divisional performance, including responsibility for delivering national priorities and local targets within agreed resources
- Ensure robust systems are in place to effectively manage divisional budgets and resources in line with financial governance requirements
- Develop and lead a structured programme of service improvement across the Division
Experience Required
- Extensive operational management experience within the NHS
- A proven track record of delivering whole-system change and managing complex, interdependent operational services
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and demonstrate strong political awareness
