Job Description



In J.P. Morgan's International Private Bank, goals-based planning is the cornerstone of how we build lasting relationships, placing our clients' aspirations at the heart of every investment strategy and empowering them to reach meaningful milestones.



Engage is our advisory platform designed to deliver consistent, goals-based investment advice. Built on fiduciary, non-discretionary advisory principles, Engage provides a structured framework for portfolio construction, monitoring, and management - ensuring every client receives personalized, high-quality guidance aligned with their financial objectives. The platform combines robust investment methodology, standardized advisory protocols, and scalable technology to drive long-term investment flows and fee-based asset growth across markets, with a focus on client outcomes.



We are looking for an Executive Director to lead Goals-Based Planning and Engage across EMEA from our London office, elevating the quality, consistency, and commercial impact of goals-based advisory delivery. This role will report into the IPB Head of Planning and Personalisation.




Job Responsibilities




Advisor Enablement

• Participate in and facilitate training sessions to help advisors strengthen their skills in goals-based planning and the advisory framework.


• Reinforce and amplify the advisory-based approach during team huddles and internal meetings.


• Participate in prospect and client meetings.


• Collaborate with the Goals-Based Planning team in Mumbai to guide advisor teams in structuring and presenting wealth planning analyses in a clear, conversational manner.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong partnerships with regional stakeholders - Market Managers, Market Heads of Investments, Team Leads, Head of the Advisory Desk and Solutions Partners - to ensure alignment and promote adoption of our advisory framework.


• Ensure that the quality of client goals-based plans reflects the outcomes our clients desire.


• Provide feedback for platform and process enhancements to the Product teams, ensuring the product and procedures remain effective and meet evolving needs.

Risk, Control & Compliance

• Leverage the advisor dashboard to monitor outliers and breaches, ensuring proactive issue resolution in line with Engage Program guidelines.


• Promote advisor awareness of guidelines and procedures.

Key Performance Metrics

• EMEA wide adoption of goals-based planning at 80%.


• Ensure that plan health scores meet the desired standards.


• Advisor satisfaction scores > 75% for goals-based planning and Engage.


• Growth in assets under management for Engage.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline - or equivalent experience within wealth management or financial services.


• Experience in asset allocation, portfolio management, or as a private bank Advisor.


• Proven expertise in advising on asset allocation for complex investment portfolios and providing guidance to ultra-high-net-worth clients.


• Strong understanding of portfolio analytics and risk management concepts.


• Bring judgement and presence to be a trusted partner to advisors, while maintaining the operating rigor required to scale a consistent advisory experience across markets.


• The ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance - whether speaking to a client, coaching an advisor, or presenting to senior leadership.


• Exceptional emotional intelligence and people skills to influence without authority across diverse teams and markets.


• Polished communication skills - written, verbal, and on stage.


• Composure to thrive under pressure, juggle competing priorities, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.


• A collaborative mindset and genuine commitment to continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Fluency in a regional language other than English.


• CFA charter holder.
