The Role:
An opportunity for an experienced KDB Developer to join a front-office technology team supporting electronic trading within Fixed Income markets. You'll work closely with traders, quantitative specialists and technologists to enhance real-time pricing, trading and risk systems that sit at the heart of a revenue-generating business.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll have direct exposure to trading workflows, rapid delivery cycles and business stakeholders. The environment suits someone who enjoys solving complex data and performance challenges and seeing their work used by the desk in real time.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Build and enhance KDB+/q applications supporting pricing, trading and risk capabilities.
• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines, analytics services and associated APIs.
• Partner directly with traders and front-office stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver technology solutions.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of high-performance market data and time-series data platforms.
• Support monitoring, analysis and reporting around trading performance and market activity.
• Participate in application releases, production support and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help shape technical standards, development practices and testing approaches within the team.
What You Bring:
• Strong commercial experience developing with KDB+ and q in a front-office or trading environment.
• Good understanding of real-time data processing and high-performance systems.
• Linux/Unix expertise and familiarity with software development best practices.
• Experience designing, testing and supporting business-critical applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income markets, electronic trading or quantitative finance would be highly beneficial.
• Exposure to automated deployment pipelines, CI/CD tooling or modern engineering practices is advantageous.
