CassonX is delighted to be partnering with a boutique, London based Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund managing approximately £100m across its flagship fund and several separately managed accounts. The firm has a strong investment heritage, building on the success of a previous investment platform with a track record spanning more than 10 years. It offers a genuinely entrepreneurial and collaborative working environment, where employees have direct access to Portfolio Managers and senior leadership. The firm is now looking to hire an Operations professional to take ownership of its standalone Operations function. Ideally, candidates will have experience working within a Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund or a similar buy side investment environment, with a solid understanding of the equity trade lifecycle and wider fund operations. This is a broad, hands on role covering a variety of operational responsibilities, including daily P&L reporting, Shadow NAV monitoring, NAV calculations and reconciliations, FX and share class hedging, investor reporting and fund fact sheets.

Working closely with the Portfolio Managers and senior management team, you will play an important role in the day to day running of the fund. Responsibilities will include producing daily P&L reports, monitoring the internal Shadow NAV, reviewing reports from the external fund administrator and overseeing the operational aspects of the trade lifecycle. You will also coordinate monthly FX and share class hedging, prepare quarterly investor and shareholder reports, maintain fund fact sheets and manage the firm’s CRM and reporting systems.

As part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to see much more than traditional fund operations. The role offers real variety, autonomy and direct exposure to the wider business, making it particularly well suited to an Operations Analyst, Associate or experienced Fund Operations professional looking to take the next step into a smaller, entrepreneurial hedge fund environment where they can take ownership, broaden their skill set and have a genuine impact.
