Introduction
As a member of the team, you will use your knowledge of Palantir Foundry to connect client requirements with practical technical outcomes. Your main focus will be helping Defence & Security organisations realise the value of their data by building, implementing, and maintaining reliable solutions within the Palantir ecosystem. You will transform complex data into clear, trusted information assets that support meaningful analysis and enable decision-making through the Ontology.
In this position, you'll be accountable for key deliverables and for managing relationships with client stakeholders, delivering outcomes through agile ways of working. You will frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning different sectors, areas of expertise, and locations.
Working Patterns: 2-4 days per week onsite, depending on the project, UK travel may be required.

Key responsibilities
- Use Palantir Foundry's data engineering capabilities to build clean, consistent, and reusable data assets that support a range of downstream needs, including AI models, operational tools, and analytical reporting.
- Create and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models in Foundry, utilising its ingestion, transformation, and storage features, while working closely with wider engineering and development teams.
- Introduce new solutions and creative methods to tackle complex data engineering challenges within the Foundry environment, improving data efficiency and taking advantage of advanced platform components such as artifacts and compute modules.
- Design and deliver Foundry implementations that can support large-scale, intricate use cases, unlocking value for varied users and business functions, with a strong emphasis on building and refining the Foundry Ontology.
- Shape and manage Foundry data models and governance frameworks, establishing data standards, ensuring high levels of data quality, and maintaining clear lineage across the platform.
- Develop end-user applications within the Foundry environment using both low-code and full-code approaches, enabling intuitive access to data and insights.
Skills & experience
- Collect, process, enhance, and consolidate data from multiple sources, shaping it into reliable, well-organised information assets within the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Develop, refine, and automate ETL pipelines and data workflows using Foundry's toolset to efficiently move, transform, and prepare data for use across the business.
- Improve and maintain data systems within Foundry to ensure they are high-performing, scalable, resilient, and easily monitored.
- Oversee data governance activities in Foundry, including managing metadata, safeguarding data quality, and ensuring clear lineage across all datasets.
- Configure, support, and sustain mission-oriented workflows within Palantir Gotham for Defence and military operations.
