An established global macro investment manager is seeking a qualified accountant to join its finance team as Financial Controller.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a rare opportunity to gain broad exposure across management company finance, fund accounting, regulatory reporting, investor reporting and strategic business initiatives within a sophisticated alternative investment platform.
The role will suit an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified accountant looking to move beyond a traditional finance role and develop a holistic understanding of how an investment manager operates.
Responsibilities- Ownership of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit processes
- Oversee cash management, financial controls and tax filings
- Review NAV calculations and fund accounting activities
- Liaise with fund administrators, auditors and external advisers
- Support regulatory reporting and governance requirements
- Contribute to board reporting and investor communications
- Drive automation, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Demonstrable track record in a finance function - minimum 3 years of experience
- Background in asset management, hedge funds, fund administration, product control or audit with investment management exposure
- Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting
- Exposure to fund accounting and NAV processes is advantageous
- Commercially minded, proactive and keen to improve processes through technology and automation
