Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable and highly observant Part-Time Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to provide security services for commercial properties throughout the Denver area. This role combines vehicle and foot patrol responsibilities to help protect client facilities, discourage unauthorized activity, and respond promptly to security-related incidents.

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a visible security presence across multiple assigned locations.

Primary Responsibilities

Patrol Operations

• Conduct scheduled patrols of assigned commercial properties using a marked security vehicle and on foot.
• Inspect parking lots, building exteriors, entrances, gates, and surrounding grounds.
• Check doors, access points, and perimeter areas for security concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to discourage theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activities.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or suspicious conditions.

Incident Response

• Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security-related calls.
• Evaluate situations and take appropriate action in accordance with company policies and post instructions.
• Contact emergency services or supervisors when additional assistance is required.
• Preserve accurate information regarding incidents for follow-up and documentation.
• Support client personnel during emergency situations while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Site Monitoring & Access Control

• Observe activity throughout assigned properties for unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor restricted areas and verify authorization when necessary.
• Report policy violations or unauthorized access attempts promptly.
• Ensure security procedures are consistently followed at assigned locations.

Reporting & Communication

• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Record patrol observations accurately using company reporting systems.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch, supervisors, and client representatives.
• Immediately report significant security concerns or operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Active Colorado Security Guard Card required.
• Personal firearm meeting all company and applicable legal requirements.
• Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
• Ability to successfully pass all required background screening and hiring requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Experience performing mobile patrol assignments.
• Strong observation, decision-making, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Familiarity with commercial property security operations.

Work Environment

• Combination of indoor and outdoor assignments across multiple commercial properties.
• Frequent vehicle and foot patrols throughout each shift.
• Regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, driving, and conducting inspections.
• Fast-paced environment requires independent judgment and continuous situational awareness.
