Trade Operations Engineer – Global Quant Trading Firm – Singapore
A leading global quantitative proprietary trading firm is looking for a Trade Operations Engineer to join its Singapore office.
This is a high-impact role within the Trade Operations team, managing live trading systems and real-time risk, while also contributing to software deployments and smaller code updates.
You’ll be at the intersection of operations and development, keeping mission-critical systems running in a truly global trading environment.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and manage live production trading systems, ensuring stability and risk control.
- Triage incidents under pressure with precision and low error tolerance.
- Contribute to software deployments, application configuration, and system updates.
- Write bug fixes and smaller-scale C++ code changes in a complex global environment.
- Collaborate with developers, traders, and engineers to maintain seamless operations.
- Provide flexible coverage across trading hours as part of a global support team.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong C++ skills
- Proficiency in Linux with interest in trading systems and financial markets.
- Analytical problem-solver with ability to handle time-sensitive triage.
- Collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Bonus: Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, or other workflow tools.
