As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in expanding agency distribution partnerships and driving growth in strategic markets throughout the Northeast. This position is responsible for developing and managing agency relationships, executing market expansion initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as a critical link between distribution partners and internal teams. You will also provide valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to support product innovation and continued market success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and marketing initiatives to increase awareness and adoption of the company's insurance solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with agency and brokerage partners across assigned territories.
- Recruit, evaluate, and onboard new distribution partners based on market opportunity, production potential, and industry expertise.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the commercial property and habitational insurance sectors.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to agency partners, providing product education, consultation, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales leadership, underwriting, legal, marketing, and product teams, to support business development efforts.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to help refine products and go-to-market strategies.
- Assist in developing partner communications, sales materials, and marketing resources.
- Monitor regional market trends and contribute to forecasting and growth planning initiatives.
- Support the expansion and development of adjacent territories and, as growth continues, potentially lead and mentor additional team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance sales, business development, marketing, or distribution management.
- Proven success developing and growing agency or broker relationships within the insurance industry.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals and business objectives.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth and innovation.
- Knowledge of commercial property insurance markets is highly preferred.
- Exceptional networking and prospecting abilities, with a talent for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Location: Candidates located within the New York Metro area are preferred. Field-based travel may be required based on territory needs.
