Legal Administrator
Kennedys Healthcare Division advise the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics and practitioners on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. The team advise on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters and represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews. The team have a presence across our London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Newcastle and some of our global offices.

This is a hybrid role, where you will be providing support to the Resource Coordinators and assisting them with some of their tasks.

You will also work within the admin team and pick up tasks, new instructions and post alongside the other team members.

Your time will be split across both roles depending on where your support is needed most on a daily basis.

You will assist the RC team with managing some of their inboxes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with firm procedures, quality standards, information security requirements and established protocols.
  • Process incoming post and DX, ensuring timely electronic distribution
  • Enter and update key data to case management systems - contacts, court details/dates and tasks
  • Prepare correspondence and documentation for signature in accordance with the New Instructions process.
  • Provide administrative support to the Healthcare team, including file management, document handling and contributing to effective team processes and systems.
  • Scan, print and manage documents as required.
  • Electronically coding post and saving to Kase
  • Manage the accurate E-filing of documents using iManage
  • Undertake any other duties which from time to time may be allocated.
  • Proactively manage workload and capacity, communicating with Team and taking on additional tasks when required

  • Maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal clients and to assist in creating and developing the professional reputation of the department

  • Act as a Trusted Advisor by building relationships across business services to ensure a consistent approach and service
  • Undertake any specific training as and when required by the HR Department, supervisor or Partners of the Firm
  • Operate safely and considerately in the workplace.

Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of client, practice and firm information at all times.
