Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Computershare views the United Kingdom as a vital corporate trust market and natural location to expand our corporate trust services based on current client needs and continuity driven by other existing Computershare UK-based business lines. Establishing the Bristol branch and Authorized Payment entities will enable Computershare to deliver core trustee and agency services in the UK.

A role you will love

As our Business Support Manager, you will lead our Trust Investment Operations (TIO) team within our Corporate Trust organisation. You will be responsible for managing our EMEA custodial services team along with oversight of the local vault.

You will be a strategic advisor by providing expertise on complex operational, regulatory, and risk related initiatives. The role leads cross functional collaboration, drives governance and change management efforts, and ensures alignment with business objectives, regulatory coordination, reporting and analytics, workflow management, and continuous improvement. The manager drives effective execution, transparency and sound operational performance.

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for establishing new process and compliance expectations, and managing the team to those standards, and also ensuring accounts are managed to established process and compliance expectations.
  • Lead and manage staff, develop appropriate reports and other management tools to track and monitor account administration and service
  • Oversee responses to issues or problems, and working with business partners to resolve complex escalated issues
  • Maintain a productive, highly engaged workforce by fostering trust, integrity, open two-way communication, personal accountability, and excellence
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other internal managers, as well as local and regional business partners
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement to maximize efficiency, profitability, customer service, and reduction of risk
  • Manage a team with diverse support functions and/ or operations/production oversight for a single business group within a line of business.
  • Function management may include policy/procedure administration and adherence, systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, legal and regulatory adherence, SLA negotiation/ development, reporting and analysis, project funding, pipeline, process improvement, quality management, financial budgeting oversight and team member processing.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local and regional business partners.
  • Developing a strong, cohesive team by attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining top talent. Leveraging and developing talent through goal-setting and regular coaching.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees engagement.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience
  • Corporate trust, financial services, and/or risk and regulatory compliance experience
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problem
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Risk management and mitigation experience
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Demonstrated account reconciling experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Change leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of the following: SEI Trust 300 accounting system (or similar), corporate actions, securities setup/movement/settlement desirable.
