About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and influential Regulatory & Mandatory Training Lead to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our regulatory and mandatory learning strategy. Working closely with senior leaders and compliance specialists across the business, you will ensure our people have the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to meet regulatory obligations, manage risk effectively and deliver great outcomes for clients.

Reporting to the Divisional Director, Learning & Development, you will play a key role in delivering the organisation's risk strategy through high-quality learning solutions. You'll also lead the regulatory training agenda, manage a Regulatory & Mandatory Training Analyst, and help foster a culture of continuous learning across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the development and delivery of regulatory and mandatory learning solutions that meet business, compliance and risk requirements.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs and translate them into effective learning interventions.
  • Own and maintain the regulatory training calendar across the business, including international and subsidiary operations, adapting programmes as regulatory requirements evolve.
  • Provide expert guidance on the design, governance and delivery of regulatory and compliance training.
  • Conduct risk-based training needs analyses and develop learning plans that support diverse learner groups across different regions and jurisdictions.
  • Work closely with the wider Learning & Development team to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to learning delivery.
  • Oversee the approval process for regulatory and mandatory learning content, ensuring it remains current, accurate and compliant.
  • Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes and emerging risks, embedding these into learning strategies and programmes.
  • Measure learning effectiveness, analyse training data and use insights to drive continuous improvement and business impact.
  • Own and report on key risk indicators relating to mandatory training completion and compliance.
  • Act as the key Learning & Development contact for risk-related matters, partnering with the People function's Risk Business Partner.
  • Line manage and support the development of the Regulatory & Mandatory Training Analyst.
About You

You are a credible and commercially minded Learning & Development professional with significant experience delivering regulatory and compliance learning within a regulated environment. You combine strong programme management skills with a deep understanding of risk, governance and behavioural change, enabling you to develop learning solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Confident working with senior stakeholders, you are highly collaborative, influential and passionate about creating impactful learning experiences that protect both people and the organisation.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience designing, delivering and managing regulatory, compliance or mandatory training programmes within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, conduct risk, governance frameworks and compliance obligations.
  • Demonstrable programme or project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex learning initiatives.
  • Experience using data, management information and learning technologies (LMS, digital learning platforms and eLearning tools) to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Desirable Criteria
  • Audit experience or experience supporting regulatory reviews and assurance activities.
  • Knowledge of behavioural and cultural change methodologies and their application within learning and development strategies.
