A growing alternative investment manager with approximately $1bn in assets under management is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to develop a long-term career within hedge fund fundraising and investor relations, working directly with senior leadership and gaining exposure to a sophisticated institutional investor base.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting capital raising initiatives, managing investor communications, coordinating due diligence processes, and contributing to the firm's broader investor relations strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior investor relations and business development professionals in all aspects of fundraising activity.
- Assist in managing relationships with existing and prospective investors across institutional and intermediary channels.
- Coordinate responses to investor due diligence requests, including RFPs, DDQs and ad hoc information requests.
- Prepare and maintain marketing materials, presentations, fund updates and investor reporting documentation.
- Manage and update CRM systems, investor pipelines and fundraising activity reports.
- Organise investor meetings, roadshows, conference attendance and follow-up communications.
- Liaise closely with investment, operations, compliance and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely investor communications.
- Assist with market intelligence, competitor analysis and prospective investor research.
- Support new investor onboarding processes and ongoing relationship management activities.
- Contribute to special projects across investor relations, fundraising and strategic business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 1-4 years of relevant experience within:
- Hedge fund investor relations
- Capital introduction
- Asset management sales, client service, consultant relations or investor relations
- Alternative investment fundraising environments
- Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Experience preparing investor materials, DDQs, RFPs or client reporting is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- European language skills are highly desirable.
- Prior exposure to hedge funds or alternative investment strategies is a strong advantage.
- Degree educated with a strong academic background.
- Demonstrated interest in fundraising, investor relations and capital raising within the alternatives industry.
