Business Area
The EMEA Data Office has been established for nearly four years and is growing significantly. The bank is at the early stages of it data journey and it under going a number of programmes to change the way the bank works.
Position Description
The Data Office is seeking a Lead Data Analyst - Data Migration to support strategic transformation initiatives across the Bank. The role will be responsible for leading data migration activities across multiple programmes, establishing data migration standards and frameworks, and ensuring the secure, accurate, and controlled movement of data between systems throughout the full delivery lifecycle from discovery and design through to deployment and optimisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the Bank's Data Migration capability, supporting both large-scale transformation programmes and smaller tactical initiatives. Working closely with business, operations, technology, and data stakeholders, they will define migration approaches, data mapping strategies, quality controls, transformation rules, and validation processes to ensure successful delivery.
The role will support the migration of client, reference, transactional, and operational data into new platforms and business processes, helping the Bank modernise its data landscape while maintaining high standards of governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
As part of the wider Data Office strategy, the Lead Data Analyst will also contribute to the development of reusable migration frameworks, tooling, and best practices. The role will collaborate with Data Strategy, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Privacy and Data Innovation teams to identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and Generative AI capabilities to improve data profiling, quality assessment, mapping, lineage discovery, transformation, validation, testing, monitoring, and migration optimisation.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a hands on delivery mindset, bringing experience in data migration, data quality, data governance, stakeholder engagement, and change delivery within a complex banking environment.

The Lead Data Analyst will help establish and evolve the Bank's Data Migration Framework, supporting the movement and transition of data between systems. As part of a growing team, the role contributes to migration strategy, framework development, tooling adoption, and delivery of successful migration outcomes across multiple programmes.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of data, technology, and solution design principles.

- Lead data lineage, mapping, transformation, validation, cleansing, and migration activities to support the successful transfer of data between source and target systems.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, regulatory compliance, testing, cutover planning, runbook execution, and post-migration validation throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and programme stakeholders to deliver analysis, reporting, documentation, issue resolution, user support, and continuous process improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience in data migration, data engineering, data quality, data governance, and data remediation within a banking or regulated environment.
- Strong technical expertise in SQL, database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), ETL and migration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, AWS DMS, Azure Data Migration Service), and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Proven ability to perform requirements gathering, rule writing and testing, stakeholder management, problem solving, RAID management, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
