Job Description
This role is within the Digital Product and Design team, in the Cloud Digital & Integration Function (Chief Operating office).
Working hand in hand with the digital product owner and delivery leads of your project, you will have the responsibility for the execution of design tasks, managing dependencies and collaborating with other designers to deliver pieces of work.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
You'll create accessible, high-quality digital experiences that differentiate Nationwide and support our Digital Society aspirations. You'll take responsibility for delivering high-quality design outcomes across the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through to prototyping, user testing, interface design, and developer handoff.
You'll support the evolution of the Nationwide Experience Language (NEL) design system, ensuring the brand is consistently represented across digital experiences through its libraries, components, patterns, and guidance.
Working closely with colleagues across disciplines, you'll contribute to workshops and research activities. You'll confidently present your work to subject matter experts, stakeholders, peers, and other internal audiences, using feedback to continuously improve the customer experience.

About you
As a minimum requirement you will have:
- Experience using industry-standard design tools and methods such as Figma, Miro, Dscout, AI, and Design Thinking, with an understanding of designing for responsive interfaces across web and app platforms and contributing to evolving design systems
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality design work across small to medium-sized projects within cross-functional teams, applying design principles effectively in fast-paced commercial environments
- Experience designing and delivering digital customer journeys across web and app platforms, translating user needs and business objectives into engaging, customer-focused solutions
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and contribute to delivering great customer experiences to agreed timelines
- Good communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to share design thinking, participate in design critiques, and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Animation experience
