CassonX are delighted to be EXCLUSIVELY recruiting for this growing Relative Value Hedge Fund that specialises in Exchange Traded Commodities. Now boasting nearly $900m AUM, and a wonderful track record, they are looking to replace someone who (like many) have been promoted to the Trading desk. We are very excited about this hire, such a great opportunity for someone, especially if your first time in a hedge fund. The hiring manger is great fun, but also someone who you could trust your career with and willing to put you under his wing in this small team of 3 people.
To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone with strong Python skills (and ideally SQL), particularly for data engineering/analysis and automation (e.g. pandas, APIs, scripting workflows) and working with datasets. This entry level role into a hedge fund will see you use your analytical skills, and whilst it is preferential you have gained 1-3 years experience in an Operations / Middle Office / Product Control / Risk / Data Engineering or related role within a bank, hedge fund, commodity/utility, trading or tech firm. Degree education is not essential but preferred, and they need someone who will be willing to get their hands dirty, and willing to learn quickly.
The role involves working closely with traders and senior management and would suit a highly driven candidate who would like to see everything Middle Office, Risk Reporting, Trade Lifecycles, Investigating breaks with clients and clearers, P&L, VaR, Reconciliations, Cash Management / Limits.
