Deloitte Legal is growing its Legal Management Consulting practice and is looking to recruit a Senior Consultant with solid consulting and transformation experience to join a team delivering high-quality consulting services in a dynamic and growing marketplace. As a Senior Consultant, you will own and deliver high-quality deliverables to a near client-ready standard, present a coherent narrative and contribute valuable insights in client meetings and workshops, and manage junior team members while forming relationships with clients at appropriate levels. You will be a central figure in complex engagements, combining growing subject matter expertise with strong analytical and facilitation skills.

What you will be working on:

• Leading workstreams on complex, multi-faceted client engagements across the full spectrum of the market with both in-house legal departments and law firms
• Developing growing subject matter expertise in areas such as legal operating model design, AI and technology-enabled transformation, or contract transformation
• Directly managing and developing Analysts, building your leadership capability, and gaining exposure to a range of consulting methods and digital transformation programmes
• Contributing to business development, thought leadership and internal practice development

What you can expect in your day-to-day role:

• Successfully planning and managing your own activities, taking ownership of client deliverables to a high standard, demonstrating strong critical thinking and reviewing work from junior team members
• Clearly communicating and presenting to team leaders and clients, with strong attention to detail and a consistent drive to deliver quality and value
• Leading or co-leading client playbacks, managing client expectations and fully owning the preparation and facilitation of appropriate meetings - including setting agendas, structuring sessions logically and managing time
• Building understanding of end-to-end engagement management, assisting with budget tracking, and proactively identifying issues with appropriate mitigation recommendations
• Directly managing Analyst-grade colleagues, providing timely and specific feedback on deliverables and actively supporting their professional development and well-being
• Using PowerPoint, Excel, PairD and Legora as core delivery tools, applying AI capabilities to improve quality, and driving and owning parts of proposal and pitch materials
• Leading and owning practice development initiatives, managing junior team members within those initiatives, and building strong peer relationships across Deloitte Legal

Connect to your skills and professional experience

• Demonstrable experience in management consulting, legal operations or a closely related field, with a strong record of delivery on complex projects
• A solid understanding of the commercial and operational challenges facing in-house legal departments and/or law firms, and a genuine interest in staying current on relevant market trends
• Proven experience owning and delivering significant workstreams, including process reengineering, technology implementation or organisational design
• Experience directly managing Analyst-grade colleagues, providing timely specific feedback and supporting their development
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and adapt your style to different audiences
• Growing subject matter expertise in one or more areas relevant to legal management consulting, including AI and technology-enabled transformation, operating model design or change management
• Strong stakeholder management skills and high proficiency in MS Office, with developing proficiency in PairD and Legora
• A collaborative, curious approach, a genuine drive to deepen your expertise, and a degree or similar qualification. Relevant certifications such as Prince2, Prosci or Lean Six Sigma are an advantage
