Head of People, Talent and Culture
Are you passionate about shaping culture, developing people and creating a truly great place to work?
At Saxon Weald, we exist to enable positive life chances by providing safe and secure homes. We are a locally focused housing association with a strong social purpose, committed to delivering excellent services for our residents while creating a workplace where our people can thrive.
Established in 2000, Saxon Weald manages close to 7,000 homes across Sussex and Hampshire, providing affordable rented and shared ownership homes for individuals and families, as well as specialist housing for those aged 55 and over. As a charitable Community Benefit Society, every pound we generate is reinvested into the maintenance, improvement and development of our homes and services.
At the heart of our success is a genuine commitment to our communities. We are a truly customer-focused organisation, with strong local roots and a culture that prioritises customers experience. Our in-house repairs team, HomeFix, plays a key role in delivering high-quality, responsive services, helping us stay close to our customers and responsive to their needs. We are now looking for a talented Head of People, Talent & Culture to play a key role in shaping our people strategy and delivering an outstanding colleague experience.
This is a critical senior leadership role at the heart of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead the development and delivery of a forward-thinking people strategy that supports Saxon Weald's ambitions and strengthens our culture as a great place to work. You will act as a trusted partner to the Executive Team and Board, championing a high-performing, inclusive and customer-focused culture while ensuring strong governance and compliance across the people agenda. You will lead the full people portfolio, spanning culture, talent, learning, engagement, health and safety, wellbeing and inclusion, driving continuous improvement and enabling the organisation to perform at its best.
About You
You are a credible and experienced people leader with a strong track record in senior HR roles, bringing deep expertise across people strategy, culture, engagement and talent management, ideally within a regulated, customer-focused environment. You are a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, with the communication and influencing skills to drive meaningful cultural change, alongside a strong understanding of UK employment law, governance and compliance. A collaborative, forward-thinking and values-led leader, you combine curiosity and resilience with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver impact.
This is your opportunity to shape culture, develop people and make a lasting impact in a purpose-driven organisation. If you're ready to help create a great place to work while delivering real change for customers and communities, we'd love to hear from you.
If you are excited by this fantastic opportunity and would like to learn more about how you could help us achieve our ambitions, then please reach out to GatenbySanderson.
