We are currently partnered with a software-focused growth equity firm with offices in Austin and San Francisco seeking a Business Development Associate to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work directly with seasoned Investor Relations and Business Development professionals while developing in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:
- Source and qualify investment opportunities through proprietary outreach
- Build relationships with founders, executives, advisors, and intermediaries
- Conduct market research within the B2B software and AI ecosystem
- Support deal execution from initial outreach through LOIs and closing
- Manage and track deal flow across the investment pipeline
- Utilize AI tools to enhance sourcing and workflow efficiency
The Business Development Associate should have:
- 3-4 years of investment banking experience
- Background in Financial Sponsors, Software, B2B Technology, or Growth Equity preferred
- Experience with proprietary outreach required
- Experience supporting live transactions through execution
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Hard-working, engaging, dedicated, and personable demeanor
- Proficiency with AI tools strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree with a strong record of academic and professional achievement
- Experience with bringing deals to a close
