The Team
As Senior Workday Analyst, you'll drive the optimization and evolution of Workday across a global, multi-module enterprise system serving thousands of A&M employees and contractors worldwide. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic influence-you'll lead the design and deployment of new functionality, mentor junior analysts, champion best practices, and partner across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Recruiting to shape how the organization manages talent, compensation, and time.

How you will Contribute
Requirements Gathering, Design & Deployment
• Lead requirements gathering for new functionality and modules; translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and system design
• Build, configure, and test new solutions in sandboxes; manage end-to-end deployment cycles
• Drive change management activities to ensure smooth user adoption of new processes and technology
• Partner with Workday implementation consultants and internal stakeholders to scope enhancements and validate solutions
End-User Support & Problem Resolution
• Manage assigned production support cases and defect tickets; troubleshoot complex issues to root cause
• Provide responsive, consultative support to end users; balance rapid resolution with long-term system stability
• Document issues, resolutions, and lessons learned to build institutional knowledge and reduce repeat incidents
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advisory
• Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams on enhancements, integration requests, and process improvements
• Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders; recommend solutions that optimize system usability and business outcomes
• Educate business partners on Workday capabilities and limitations; advise on process design best practices
Continuous Learning & System Mastery
• Lead bi-annual Workday workstream release planning: review release notes, assess new functionality, make deployment recommendations
• Conduct regression and new functionality testing; educate end users on upcoming changes
• Maintain expertise in Workday tools and frameworks (reporting, calculated fields, integrations, security)
• Participate actively in Workday Community forums, webinars, and training to stay current on industry trends and best practices
Visibility & Communication
• Provide clear, regular status updates on in-progress projects and deliverables
• Escalate risks and dependencies proactively; manage competing priorities with a focus on business impact
Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of Workday functional configuration and support experience
• Expert-level Workday knowledge across HCM and at least one additional module (Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, or Benefits preferred)
• Proficiency with Workday Reporting (standard and advanced), Dashboards and Calculated Fields
• Strong working knowledge of Workday security roles, access controls, and data governance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Solid understanding of core HR processes and workflows (hiring, onboarding, terminations, benefits, payroll, time tracking)
• Prior HR, Payroll, or Finance experience, or demonstrated knowledge of HR processes and business implications
• Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements
• Understanding of how system design choices impact end users and business outcomes
• Root cause analysis capability; ability to look beyond surface symptoms
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build trusted partnerships across functions
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements from diverse stakeholders and synthesize into actionable insights
• Strong customer service orientation; commitment to exceeding expectations
• Proven track record of setting realistic delivery commitments and consistently meeting them
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities; flexibility to adjust quickly to shifting business needs
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to deliver under deadline pressure
• Self-motivated; able to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team environment
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes through instruction and self-study
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, HRIS, Business Administration, IT/IS, or related field
• Workday Certification(s) a plus
• Experience supporting a large, global Workday environment

The salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
