Operation Specialist I
Overview
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support to U.S. Army Redstone Test Center's (RTC's) Aviation Flight Test Directorate (AFTD), Attack & Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Division.
• Manage organizational calendars in Microsoft Outlook, and other similar digital
means.
• Receive and route incoming communications, e.g., telephone calls, e-mail messages,
postal mail, etc.
• Assist in management of timekeeping records for Government employees in
Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS).
• Track mandatory training using Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC) Training
Tracker Module (ATTM).
• Prepare and edit correspondence in accordance with Army Regulation 25-50,
Preparing and Managing Correspondence.
• Prepare purchase requests.
• Submit and track work orders.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSURE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years' experience providing administrative support by conducting
research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing
clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging
conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Prior military organization employment as military or civilian, and corresponding
understanding of military headquarters staff organization, roles, and relationships.
• Executive-level or senior manager-level administrative support.
• Professional user of Microsoft's Office suite of software and applications (e.g.,
Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), as well as SharePoint.

WORK ENVIORNMENT:
Professional office in which typical office equipment and information technology is used.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described must be met by an employee to perform the essential
functions of the job - able to: see, hear, and speak; lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds; sit for extended time; and, use a personal computer and common peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse, video displays, printer).
TRAVEL:
None.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret
clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
