We are partnering with a leading quantitative trading and digital assets firm seeking a Prediction Markets Trader to join a rapidly growing team focused on event-driven markets. This opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong quantitative reasoning, excellent market instincts, and a passion for emerging trading venues.
You will play a key role in researching, executing, and scaling strategies across prediction markets, with exposure to a broad range of products tied to real-world events including politics, sports, economics, weather, and other high-impact outcomes.
This position offers significant autonomy, direct impact on trading performance, and the opportunity to help build trading infrastructure and processes within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute trading strategies across prediction market venues and event-driven products.
- Monitor real-time market activity and identify profitable opportunities arising from mispriced probabilities and market inefficiencies.
- Research and develop quantitative trading models to improve forecasting accuracy and execution performance.
- Analyze large datasets and market signals to generate actionable trading insights.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams to enhance automation, execution systems, and trading workflows.
- Build tools for monitoring positions, risk, liquidity, and market activity.
- Evaluate new prediction products, trading venues, and market structures as the ecosystem evolves.
- Provide coverage during major market events where volatility and trading activity increase significantly.
- Contribute to risk management, portfolio construction, and capital allocation decisions.
- Support the continued growth and development of the firm's prediction markets initiatives.
- 1-4 years of experience in trading, quantitative research, software engineering, gambling markets, sports betting, or a highly analytical field.
- Strong Python programming skills with the ability to build analytical tools and work with market data.
- Excellent quantitative, statistical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in prediction markets, event-driven trading, sports markets, or forecasting-based products.
- Strong understanding of probability, expected value, and risk-reward dynamics.
- Ability to make high-quality decisions in fast-moving environments.
- Self-starter with an ownership mindset and strong commercial instincts.
- Comfortable operating across trading, research, analytics, and operational responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
- Background in sports trading, betting exchanges, prediction markets, or market making.
- Experience trading crypto assets, derivatives, or electronic financial markets.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, or quantitative forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with APIs, automated trading systems, and real-time data infrastructure.
- Interest in macroeconomic, political, or event-driven market themes.
