Job Description

Sia Title: Independent Contractor (1099)

Project Title: Senior Social Media Strategy Lead (Freelance Contract)

Project Length: October 5th- November 30th 2026 with potential to extend if project needs evolve.

Project Hours: Approximately 10 hours/week, with flexibility to increase hours depending on project needs. Must be available for collaboration during business hours (9:00 AM-5:00 PM ET).

Fixed Fee Range: $5,000-$5,500 for the initial 5-week engagement. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and agreed-upon scope and monthly deliverables rather than tracked hours. This is a fixed-fee project, not an hourly engagement.

You will be paid out monthly on a net 30 day schedule.

Scope of work

• Build on the existing social strategy, refining the content approach with the client, creator strategist, and brand strategist as needed.
• Develop creative briefs for priority channels and work closely with the creative team as they build social content.
• Guide the creator strategy and related work through client review and approval.
• Review social creative, provide clear feedback, and guide final deliverables through client approval.
• Lead development of the community management playbook and oversee the community manager through the end of the project.

Qualifications

Requirements / eligibility

• Experience leading social content strategy and execution within an agency or an in-house brand team.
• Experience briefing creative teams, reviewing their work, and guiding social content from concept through final approval.
• Ability to work directly with clients or business stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and keep decisions moving.
• Experience shaping creator strategy and overseeing community management as part of a broader brand program.
• Available for freelance work, with prior experience owning this function for a business or client team.
