SVP of Finance

Selby Jennings Pearl River, United States
We are partnering with a rapidly growing private equity-backed technology services platform that is transforming a fragmented market through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence. They are looking for a SVP of Finance.

We are partnering with a rapidly growing private equity-backed technology services platform that is transforming a fragmented market through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence. With revenues expected to grow from approximately $50M today to $150M-$200M over the coming years, the business is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to build and scale a best-in-class finance organization.

This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished finance and accounting leader to join at a pivotal inflection point, drive enterprise-wide finance transformation, and position themselves for a clear path to CFO within 2-3 years.

Reporting directly to the Co-Founders, the SVP of Finance will serve as the senior finance executive responsible for building a centralized finance function capable of supporting an aggressive acquisition strategy and future PE-scale growth.

The successful candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with strong leadership capabilities, bringing the discipline and rigor required to professionalize processes, implement scalable systems, and lead a growing finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization
  • Assess existing team capabilities and implement organizational enhancements as needed
  • Recruit and onboard key finance talent, including a Senior Accounting Manager
  • Establish accountability, performance standards, and scalable operating processes
  • Own the monthly close process and consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and best-in-class accounting practices
  • Drive audit readiness and establish strong internal controls
  • Manage external auditors and accounting advisors
  • Lead financial integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Standardize accounting policies, reporting, and workflows across operating companies
  • Centralize finance operations from subsidiary-level entities into a corporate structure
  • Support 1-3 acquisitions annually through post-close finance integration
  • Lead ongoing NetSuite implementation and optimization initiatives
  • Drive adoption of AP automation and workflow technologies
  • Improve reporting infrastructure, financial visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Implement scalable processes that support future growth
  • Support transition to new banking relationships and revolving credit facilities
  • Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and financial controls
  • Develop reporting capabilities for leadership, lenders, and investors
  • Partner closely with leadership on financial strategy and business performance
  • Prepare materials and insights for board and investor discussions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on operational and financial decision-making

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
  • 3-4 years of public accounting experience with a Top 20 accounting firm
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
  • Demonstrated experience managing monthly closes and multi-entity consolidations
  • Experience leading accounting teams within private equity-backed, roll-up, or acquisitive organizations
  • Proven ability to build teams, create processes, and scale finance infrastructure

Preferred Experience

  • NetSuite implementation or ERP transformation experience
  • Acquisition integration experience in a multi-entity environment
  • Experience supporting lender, board, and investor reporting
  • Familiarity with Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) considerations
