CLINICAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE LEAD
Position Overview
ICF seeks an experienced Clinical Technical Assistance Lead to support nationwide technical assistance, training, and practice transformation initiatives designed to improve clinical quality, chronic disease outcomes, and the adoption of technology-enabled care models across healthcare organizations. The Clinical TA Lead serves as the senior clinical advisor for assigned projects and is responsible for ensuring the clinical integrity, quality, and relevance of technical assistance, training, tools, and resources. This individual provides subject matter expertise on evidence-based chronic disease management, clinical workflow redesign, practice transformation, quality improvement, and the integration of digital health technologies into care delivery. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with primary care providers, community health centers, safety-net organizations, and multidisciplinary care teams to implement sustainable clinical and operational improvements.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$108,476.00 - $184,409.00

The Clinical TA Lead serves as the senior clinical advisor for assigned projects and is responsible for ensuring the clinical integrity, quality, and relevance of technical assistance, training, tools, and resources. This individual provides subject matter expertise on evidence-based chronic disease management, clinical workflow redesign, practice transformation, quality improvement, and the integration of digital health technologies into care delivery. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with primary care providers, community health centers, safety-net organizations, and multidisciplinary care teams to implement sustainable clinical and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical lead for technical assistance, training, and practice transformation activities, ensuring the clinical accuracy and quality of all project deliverables.
- Provide direct technical assistance, coaching, consultation, and academic detailing to healthcare organizations, clinical leaders, and care teams.
- Lead the development and delivery of webinars, Communities of Practice, peer learning initiatives, workshops, office hours, and other clinical learning activities.
- Provide expertise on chronic disease prevention and management, care workflow integration, quality improvement, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Advise healthcare organizations on the adoption and integration of digital health technologies, remote patient monitoring solutions, wearable devices, and patient-generated health data into clinical workflows.
- Translate clinical guidelines and emerging best practices into practical tools, resources, and implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design innovative technical assistance approaches that support organizational change and improved patient outcomes.
- Support quality assurance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts across project activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or a closely related clinical field (MD, DO, DNP, PharmD, or equivalent).
- A Master's degree combined with extensive relevant clinical technical assistance experience will also be considered.
- Minimum seven (7) years of clinical practice or clinical program experience, including direct experience supporting chronic disease management in primary care, community health, or other healthcare settings.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience providing clinical technical assistance, quality improvement support, practice transformation assistance, or provider education to healthcare organizations.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience supporting the implementation of technology-enabled care models, including remote monitoring tools, patient-generated health data, wearable technologies, or related digital health solutions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering clinical training, technical assistance, coaching, or professional education programs.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with federally funded health centers, community health centers, health systems, medical associations, or other safety-net healthcare organizations.
- Experience leading quality improvement, population health, care management, or practice transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with health information technology, interoperability, electronic health records, remote patient monitoring, and digital health innovation.
- Experience facilitating Communities of Practice, learning collaboratives, peer learning networks, or provider coaching initiatives.
- Active professional licensure and demonstrated leadership within a clinical discipline.
