What You'll Do
- Underwrite individual life insurance applications within established authority limits.
- Assess medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors to determine appropriate risk classifications.
- Analyze complex cases and make recommendations that balance profitability and customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal partners, agents, and medical professionals to gather information and resolve underwriting questions.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for peers on challenging cases.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of life insurance underwriting experience.
- Strong knowledge of risk selection, medical underwriting, and life insurance products.
- Proven ability to review and evaluate complex underwriting cases.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- FLMI, FALU, CLU, or progress toward industry designations preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
