Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director (Sydney) and working closely with APAC finance teams, you will lead the accounting and audit function across ANZ operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial control, reporting, compliance, and team management within a complex matrix organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading month-end close processes
Managing full financial operations (P&L, balance sheet, payroll, headcount, intercompany)
Overseeing group consolidation in line with AASB/IFRS standards
Ensuring compliance with ASIC and ATO requirements
Managing internal and external audits end-to-end
Leading and developing a small accounting team
Driving process improvements and supporting system transformation initiatives
Working cross-functionally with regional and global stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
CPA or CA qualification with 10 years post-qualification experience in financial control roles. Strong experience within ANZ regulatory and reporting environments with a background working for multinational or matrix organisations. A proven track record managing audits and financial compliance, experience leading small teams and working to tight deadlines. You will be detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
