Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking to hire an Associate or Vice President-level Euro Investment Grade Corporate Credit Trader to join its Paris-based trading team. This is an opportunity to become part of a well-established platform with a strong franchise across European credit markets, working closely with sales, research, syndicate, and institutional clients across the region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in market-making, risk management, and liquidity provision across Euro-denominated investment grade corporate bonds, while contributing to the continued growth of the franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and risk Euro Investment Grade Corporate Credit inventories across a broad range of sectors and issuers.
- Provide pricing and liquidity to institutional clients, supporting both primary and secondary market activity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales teams, research analysts, syndicate, and key market participants.
- Monitor market developments, credit fundamentals, macroeconomic trends, and relative value opportunities.
- Contribute to trading strategy, risk management, and P&L generation within established limits.
- Analyse portfolio positioning and identify opportunities to optimise risk-adjusted returns.
- Support and enhance electronic trading initiatives and workflow efficiencies where appropriate.
- Collaborate with global trading teams to ensure consistent market coverage and risk management.
Requirements
- 3-8 years of relevant experience within Investment Grade Corporate Credit Trading, Credit Market Making, Credit Sales Trading, or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of European corporate bond markets and credit products.
- Demonstrated experience managing risk and making markets in investment grade credit instruments.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of credit valuation, relative value analysis, and market dynamics.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; any other European language skills are advantageous but not required.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
