Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms. This position plays a key role in shaping cloud strategy, improving platform reliability, and driving automation across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the senior escalation point for cloud, systems, and infrastructure-related incidents and technical challenges.
Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across public cloud and hybrid environments.
Maintain and enhance cloud governance frameworks, including identity management, access controls, and policy enforcement.
Lead infrastructure and platform projects from solution design through to implementation and operational handover.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar automation frameworks.
Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support platform and infrastructure deployments.
Drive improvements in system performance, resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
Ensure infrastructure aligns with relevant security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor platform health and proactively identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and cost reduction.
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers across the broader technology team.

Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Engineer role.
Strong hands-on expertise across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise networking.
Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
Strong understanding of identity and access management, governance, and cloud security best practices.
Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern infrastructure operations.
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks
