Our business partner is a well-established bank that is seeking an AVP/ Manager in Commodities Derivatives Sales to join their Global Commodities team. This person will be responsible for delivering both exchange-traded and OTC commodity derivatives solutions to institutional and corporate clients, while supporting business growth across the commodities platform.

Your new role

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Market and distribute exchange-traded and OTC commodity derivatives products to corporate, institutional, and financial institution clients.
• Develop, manage, and deepen client relationships by understanding clients' hedging, investment, and risk management requirements and providing tailored solutions.
• Partner closely with trading and structuring teams to execute client transactions efficiently and deliver best-in-class service.
• Provide ongoing transaction support and maintain strong relationships with clients and counterparties.
• Organise and participate in client marketing initiatives, industry events, and business development activities.
• Monitor and manage client and counterparty risk limits in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development of new business opportunities, product initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor market developments, trading positions, and risk exposures, while identifying emerging market opportunities and risks.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to excel in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in commodities derivatives sales, marketing, or client coverage gained from a reputable financial institution. Exposure to exchange-traded and/or OTC commodities products, including futures, options, swaps, and structured hedging solutions will be greatly advantageous. A tertiary degree coupled with proficiency in English and Chinese is a must. A strong understanding of commodities markets, associated risks, and regulatory requirements with proven client relationship management and business development capabilities are required.
